San Francisco: City Cruises Premier Brunch or Dinner Cruise

Who This Trip Suits
The dinner cruise for an occasion: a seated meal on San Francisco Bay, with the skyline and the Golden Gate Bridge going past the window. City Cruises’ boat leaves Pier 3 on the Embarcadero, two piers north of the Ferry Building, for two to two and a half hours. The listing sells two sailings: a dinner with a plated meal and a DJ, and a daytime Champagne Brunch with free-flowing mimosas, sparkling wine and live music. Pick one in the calendar.
Both include unlimited coffee, tea, iced tea and water; wine, beer and cocktails are for sale on board. The route on the listing runs from Pier 3 under the Bay Bridge, past the Exploratorium, Coit Tower and Fisherman’s Wharf, out to the Palace of Fine Arts, the Golden Gate Bridge and Fort Point, then round Alcatraz, Angel Island and Treasure Island and back past the Ferry Building and Oracle Park.
Dress code: the listing says semi-formal to formal for the dinner and casual for the brunch. City Cruises’ own Premier Dinner page says business casual, including nice jeans, while its FAQ discourages casual jeans, T-shirts, shorts, gym shoes and flip-flops (checked October 2026). A collared shirt or a blouse with slacks or dark jeans passes all three. The dress code guide has the details.
Who it does not suit: anyone who mainly wants the view at the lowest price. The City Lights cruise from Pier 43 1/2 is two hours on deck without a meal, for about half as much. For dinner at a lower price, City Cruises’ buffet dinner cruise sails from the same pier, from $75 a person , with an upscale casual to business casual dress code.
Children under 3 go free if you select the free child ticket. Guests who want to sit together must be on the same booking. Rated 4.5 from 247 reviews, from $122 a person, with free cancellation up to 24 hours before (GetYourGuide, checked October 2026). The from-price is the cheapest option and date, so a dinner on a Saturday can cost more than a weekday brunch.
